“Love you” card with hand-lettered and watercolor floral stamps

Hi there everyone! Oh, florals and hand-lettering, how I love you! I created this card using botanical stamps that are perfect for that effortless watercolored look and a hand-lettered sentiment stamp. They pair together so wonderfully.

Laying out the physical stamps, the sentiment and botanicals, on top of the card stock was the first step. By planning out the layout ahead of time, I am able to see the placement of all of the elements and make any adjustments before they are permanently stamped down. Honestly, I am used to designing from paper to a computer, where I can adjust the look of things with a cursor and a mouse, so getting the stamps placed just right by hand was a bit of a challenge for me. But, challenge happily accepted!

When I began stamping, I started with the hand-lettered “love you” stamp from Penned Elegance (link below.) I finished the card base by stamping the greenery and a few of the smaller florals from the Botanical Bounty and Botanical Bounty II stamp sets (link below.) Next, I stamped and die cut the florals that I would be using for pop-outs. To complete the card, I popped out the floral elements that I had die cut for added dimension.

Hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it. I am so happy to share this with you!

Happy designing!
